Farm Economy Seen Healthy for Indiana Agriculture Five-Year Outlook
Purdue extension economist J Carroll Bottum says Indiana agriculture should stay reasonably healthy over the next five years. He cites potential tech adoption, a possible land retirement program, a rising price level, and growing agricultural exports as key factors. Foreign trade issues with the Common Market, developing nations, and Sino Soviet Bloc nations remain unsettled.
