Regular W G meeting at Hirst Baptist church at 7 o'clock with Mrs Roy Hays as steward. Girls from the church are invited. Boy Scouts meet at 7 p.m. Metropolitan Lodge No 193 Knights of Pythias at 7 30. Pocahontas Council No 7330 at 8 30.
Greene County Post No 1162 VFW and Quapaw Council No 80 Pocahontas hold meetings at 7 o'clock. Saint Scouts meet at the Legion home at 7.30. Tuesday Afternoon Bridge gathers with Mrs William Goldberg at 315 o'clock.
Community notices list several group gatherings including Mrs Rudolph Kramer hosting a Wednesday night auction bridge club at 7 30, Chapter 209 Women of Moose at 7 pm and Gamma Tau chapter of Tri Kap at 7 30 pm in the library, plus Rotary lunch at 12 15 at the American Legion home.

Thursday Afternoon club meets with Mrs Orval Hoover at 1 30. Members asked to bring handkerchiefs for a drive. Past Chiefs of re etc will not meet this week. Women’s Foreign Missionary Society meets with Mrs Harry Slinkard at 2 00 Yerick. Urgent business to be transacted. all members urged to attend.
Quapaw Tribe No 143 Imp Rotary Old Red Men hold practice at 7 PM. Stated meeting at 7 80 oclock. Columbian Chapter No 140 Order Eastern Star convenes at 8 7:80 PM. Local fraternal groups announce evening gatherings and formalities.

Miss Helen Flinn marries Denver Hadley in a Sunday ceremony at Hirst United Brethren Church. The event featured a rose garden altar, lil ies and delphinium bouquets, and a reception at the bride’s parents home. The couple, both with Indiana connections, plan to reside with the bride’s family after a wedding trip. Out of town guests from Decatur, Indianapolis, Louisville and other cities attended.
Mrs. Lloyd Priest entertained the Thursday Evening Dinner Bridge club at her Second street northwest home. Guests included Miss Genevieve Roush, Miss Irene Greene, and Mesdames Herschel Lynn, Madge Chapman, Ralph Thomas, Ed Greenwood, Walter Freund, Alex McPhail, Wallace Anderson, plus Mrs. Priest. High score prizes went to Misses Genevieve Roush and Irene Green.
A birthday dinner was held Sunday at the home of Mr and Mrs Ray Spice in honor of Mrs Spice turning twenty one. Gifts were received by the guest of honor and attendees included Mr and Mrs Dan Shonk and son Glenn Nine Mile Mrs Ed Bartley Mr and Mrs Bonnie Spice and children Stockton Mr and Mrs Karl Weaver and children Billy Betty Violet Bobby Stockton Mrs Ivan Weaver and children Joyce and Phillip this city Eugene Weaver was an afternoon caller.
Members of the H-12-C Club and their families and invited guests enjoyed a pleasant picnic at City Park last Thursday afternoon. A brief business session followed the reunion.
Members and families gathered for a long park table dinner followed by ice cream. Attendees included Sadie Floyd Hester Openshaw Hugh Burris Lylis Terhune Phyllis Smith Sarah Jones and many members and their children with notices to watch the Citizen for the next meeting.
Quapaw council sponsors a bingo party in the Red Men's hall Tuesday evening at 8. Several games will offer lovely prizes for winners. A final prize will be awarded to the final winner. Callers will be Lonie Gabbard and Virgil Wilson. Music by the Melody Miners. Public invited.
