Harold Blansett 47 a farmer east of Quincy signed a confession admitting he struck his wife Alta about 50 with a blackjack during an argument last Tuesday He then burned her body and the car on a country road The body was found charred and unidentified but license plates traced the auto Police say he remained calm and cited ongoing quarrels as motive He is held without bond and awaiting arraignment
