Mrs. C H Myers aged 49 died at her Lyons home Wednesday afternoon after a prolonged tuberculosis illness. Survived by husband and seven children including Mrs Jesse Bedwell and Mrs Earl Baumunk. Funeral at Christian church Sunday, burial location undecided. Also notes on local accidents, visits, and residents in the Lyons area.

Dugger June 14 Special to Daily Citizen The Community Vacation Bible School held its annual picnic at City Park after a morning program and a procession led by a fife and drum corps About 200 attended a picnic lunch and afternoon games as two weeks of school end with Friday commencement Enrollment reached 160 with good attendance The Thursday Bridge club met at Mrs Charles Berns home with several guests present and a list of attendees.

Clarence and Max France of Sullivan stayed a week with grandparents Mr and Mrs George Wright. A shower and old fashioned charivari was held at Noah Mullis home for newlyweds Mr and Mrs Ernest Bender. Doris Mullis, now Mrs Bender, works at Bloomfield flower factory. About fifty attended. candy and peanuts served and a tub ride gave Mrs Bender much joy.
