Prof O W Bogard Tells Of Long Trip To Lone Star State

Prof O W Bogard formerly principal of Linton Stockton high school and his family arrived in Houston Texas after a seven day auto journey from this city. In a letter to the Daily Citizen he describes the Old Spanish Trail from New Orleans to Houston noting bridges bayous and the cost of building auto roads. He reports the convention building and its features and mentions meetings and local visitors. He also shares details of the Larrinaga line ship trip and experiences with a British flag and life boat.

Faucett Pioneer John Faucett Passes Away at 68

John Edwin Faucett aged 68 died at the family home near Morris Chapel church west of the city at 11 oclock Saturday night after three years of declining health He had lived there nearly forty years and death followed a heart attack Survivors include three children Sam Norah Myrtle six grandchildren and a brother Marshell Faucett Funeral services were held at Morris Chapel church with Rev Faris officiating Burial followed in Morris Chapel cemetery

Revival announced by Pilgrim Holiness church for two weeks

Larry Newent, noted prison worker and evangelist, spoke yesterday at Pilgrim Holiness and First Christian churches and has been secured to conduct a revival service for two weeks beginning June 24.
