James Hibbard of Jasonville is charged by Wright township justice with driving an auto lacking an adequate muffler and with improper registration. The case was transcripted to Greene circuit court at Bloomfield today. AFL-CIO rubber workers urge Firestone to reopen its contract running to April 15, 1961, for pay talks affecting 18,000 workers. The union plans to seek reopenings with other major rubber producers, involving about 100,000 workers.

Decker Faces DWI Charge After Jasonville Stop
Richard Decker 24 of Linton was to appear in Wright Township justice court on a DWI charge after Linton police arrested him last night. Police Chief Guy Parr said he drove a 1955 car owned by Bement Johnson of Jasonville and another charge of driving an auto without the owner's permission was filed.
