Princeton Florida June 4 James B Cash Sr says he has abandoned hope his kidnapped son Jimmy is alive after a week of frantic searching in the Everglades. He fears finding the boy’s body may take a week or ten days. He paid a $10000 ransom and now expects the worst.
An old fashioned revival meeting is in progress at the South Mission Apostolic Faith church with Rev Harve Rice in charge. Rice is noted as an early minister helping establish the Pentecostal movement in the area. The public is invited to attend.

Eli Haywood a state highway patrolman near Koleen suffered serious head injuries when his head was caught between a truck and a grader while coupling equipment near Owensburg. He sustained concussion and facial bruises and was treated at a Bloomfield physician and Freeman Greene County hospital. His condition was listed as satisfactory with a expected hospital stay of three to four days.
The North Linton Tigers defeated the Daily Citizen 4 to 0 in a Friday practice game. North Linton scored four runs on four hits while Daily Citizen managed one hit and no runs.

Gov M Clifford Townsend may call Indiana lawmakers to a July 15 special session to approve an 8 000 000 state building program with funds also from the Public Works Administration. Deferring the session to mid July allows both parties to finish nominating conventions first.
The Greene County Board of Review will open its annual session at 10 a.m. Monday in the county courthouse in Bloomfield.
