Laughlin Family Reunion At Humphreys Park

The Laughlin family gathered at Humphreys park for its annual reunion with a noon basket dinner and a brief business session. Plans were set for the 1963 gathering on the last Sunday in July, with Mrs. Bryan Dudley and Mrs. Hazel Swift chosen to arrange next year’s event. Prizes were awarded to the oldest and youngest attendees and many relatives from Linton Switz City Odon Elnora Indianapolis and other towns joined in.

Weekend Visit Brings Birthday and Guests to Indiana

Mr and Mrs Harley L Ham of Lafayette and Harry L Brown with Mr and Mrs Medford Ham of Linton spent the weekend at Indianapolis with Mr and Mrs Robert Hunter and sons Jeff and Brian for Mrs Hunters 26th birthday. Guests at Mrs Dillon Wilcoxon include sister Mrs Wayne McMelmont and nephew Mr and Mrs Charles Spann of St Louis plus Mr and Mrs Armand Wilcoxon of Gadsden. Ala. Max Dye and son Dennis of Overland Park Kans arrived for two weeks visiting Maurice Dye and Emil Richards while Dane and Diane Dye stay with grandparents in Linton for two weeks.

Greene county Woman's Republican club invited Judge Norman Otterbien of the Indiana Supreme Court as guest speaker at a meeting in Jasonville City Park. Tables with red and blue elephants decorated the room as sandwiches and dessert were served before the business session.

Worthington Girl to Wed Gene Cook in August Ceremony

Mr. and Mrs. Immanuel Hinds of Worthington announce the approaching marriage of their daughter Sally to Gene Dupree Cook, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Cook of Florence Alabama. Mrs King Wins Award At Sullivan Fair
