Road paving funds sought for gravel stretch in Linton town
The three mile township road near the city is nearly finished but a two hundred foot gravel gap between the Southeastern track and Main Street remains unpaved. The Robinson Construction company bids $2.25 per square yard, prompting a local drive led by Oscar Fitzpatrick Carl Harris and Karl Aikin to raise funds. The Linton Milling Company owns the east side and Chicago Milwaukee and St Paul Railway owns the west side, with Terhune bearing part of the cost. A list of donors will be published, and residents are urged to contribute promptly.
