Boys and Girls Club Camp Set at Washington Park

About 350 youths from Davie s Greene and Martin counties will attend the third annual district camp at Washington Park August 9 to 13. Purdue club department rep leads with Washington County Agent Hamlet Lett assisting. Attendees pay one dollar plus food supplies. camp runs from 6 a m to 9 30 p m with drills, assemblies, meals, and campfire activities each day.

County 4-H Exposition Opens August 26 27 28

The country boys and girls club exhibit will be held at Lyons from August 26 to 28 as part of the junior agricultural fair. Products from all county clubs will be shown and prizes awarded to winners in each club and class.

Harry Fitzpatrick family and Mr and Mrs Mack Fitzpatrick attended a reunion in Illinois Sunday. Mrs Trula Leexner and daughter arrived from Detroit for an extended visit with relatives. Will Grubb and mother from Greencastle sp ent weekend with Cal Shelton. Several families from Odon and nearby towns visited relatives here this week including Richard Dove and Elmer Dove. Miss Rena Bradfield visits from Lawrenceville Illinois to grandparents Mr and Mrs Leonard Bradfield. Mrs Telmer Allen of Mineral is guest of Sherman Bratfield. Mrs Ralph Perkins and daughters Lenore and Norma of Plummer spent time with Mrs John Ganady. Mrs John Silvers returns to Bicknell after visit with Gletys Roach. Anna Hardisty and children of Odon guests here. Edith Nicholson returns to Scotland after visit with George Canady. Clem Bicknell and daughter May of Sandborn visit O. P. McKee. Shower for Joseph White who lost home by fire attended. gifts received. Dennis Foryce and family from near Sullivan dine with Ed Fordyce. Charles Wright and family at Solsberry. visit Homer Wright. Mark Blaker and Todd Senseney families from near Bloomfield visit Ben Senseney. Ilene Home Economics Club meets with Nan Johnson. program on child labor and related topics. Euchre party at Moose hall tonight. public invited. 28th.
