Mystery Blonde Sought in Indiana Slaying Case

Gas in Old Shaft Takes Boy's Life
Nine year old Dennis Eckert died from carbon monoxide poisoning after collapse while exploring an abandoned coal mine shaft near Jasper Indiana.Victor Elliott 39 Hartingburg was overcome while attempting rescue and revived. The Eckert boy's body was pulled from the shaft by neighbors with a rope. State Trooper Don Smiley aided in rescue but collapsed, later revived.
