Lumber donation fuels city ball park project
T. E. Harris of New Union Lumber donated all lumber used for the Haseman park grandstand bleachers and grounds enclosure to the city park committee. The lumber, worth about 1000 dollars, will finance a baseball diamond in the northwest park corner with enclosed seating. Games will be on free park grounds with admission charged for the enclosed park area.

Baby Burns In Scalding Tub Incident
An 18 month old boy, son of Mr and Mrs Robert Oge of Bloomfield, was badly burned after falling into a tub of hot water. His maternal grandparents Mr and Mrs L A Reintjes traveled to Bloomfield to assist. The child is recovering, with painful but non life threatening burns and no immediate danger.
