The 29 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Steward operated a Linton grocery before his induction last year and has been overseas since October 1 serving in Belgium. His wife Wilma Steward works at Peoples Trust Co.

He traveled from the Philippines to California by plane and from there to Iowa and Indiana where he is visiting relatives in Vincennes and has spoken to civic groups.
Mrs Ola Armenter Foster aged 63 died at her West Linton home after an eight year illness. Born August 4 1881 in Pike County she lived here 27 years. Survived by husband George P Foster children Lois Bedwell Vera Hunt Agnes Richardson Neail Clarence Ralph Harvey James Royy siblings and many grandchildren. Funeral from North Mission church Monday at 2 pm with Rev Sam Tuttle and Rev Vern Stoops. burial Fairview cemetery.
Funeral services for Bert Bedwell will be held Sunday at 11 oclock from Mt Calvary Methodist Church. He died in Detroit Tuesday. The family home on Sullivan Route 5 is open for visitation. Burial follows at Mt Calvary Cemetery. Newkirk Funeral Home of Pleasantville is in charge.

Floyd Hull, 24, under civilian camp supervision as he seeks freedom from a conscientious objector camp. Edward Miller announces immediate smokeless powder plant construction at Wa bash River Ordnance Works. Robert White, 23, sentenced to six months and fined for leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
Army plans accelerate the Women's Army Corps recruiting in Indiana for 1945 emphasizing enlistment of qualified women for Army hospital duty and specialists. Capt. Louis C. Wolfe notes urgent need for medical and surgical technicians and other skilled jobs including pharmacists and laboratory staff.

Robert L. Harrell, 1% year old son of Mr and Mrs Charles Harrell of South Main Street, is reported missing in action in Germany since December 16. He graduated from Linton Stockton High School in 1943 and entered service last spring after basic training at Camp Croft South Carolina and Camp Shelby Mississippi. He went overseas October 18. His parents, who also have two other sons in foreign services, await further word.
