Four Fire Alarms Hit Linton On Sunday
The Linton Fire department answered four alarms to three fires on a Sunday in 1950. Water pipes froze at Verna Meurer’s 127 Fourth Street home and back porch fire followed. Meteor fragments miss Maplewood man near car roof
John Haus er, 28, of Maplewood Park Illinois, escaped injury when two fragments from an exploding meteor pierced the air near his automobile, passing about two feet from his head. Each fragment measured around 21 inches wide.

Mrs. Marie McKee aged about 45 was found dead this morning at her Neal Street residence in Jasonville. Neighbors discovered the body. Greene County coroner Dr. Michael W.
