The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints will not hold regular services Sunday at the Qld Post Office Hall due to a district conference in Indianapolis. Most Linton members plan to attend.

Salvation Army holds a 15 p.m. open air public service titled A Spiritual Birthday Party. All members and the public are invited. A special feature is the Spiritual Birthday of Mrs. G. Th. Rogers of Minneapolis, mother of Mrs. Cant. Isaacs, visiting locally.
The First M E Church outlines a morning message on yet Four with the Prophets titled An Message of God's Justice. Evening sermon focuses on The Church and Human Seed as pastor E M Mehkown urges regular practice self-denial faith and tithing as spiritual exercise to share in Christ's triumph.
The First Christian Church invites the public to hear Rev. Joe Lee Jones discuss the liquor question at 7 p.m. tonight. Morning worship runs 9:40 to 11:30 with Sunday school and a Lord's Supper. The church conference is scheduled for Saturday and the official board meets Monday at 7:30 p.m.

Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Brewer of Midwardsport spent Sunday with Ray Brewer and Jy Ta St. John in Newberry. The brief social gathering included Mr. and Mrs. Ta St. John and extended hospitality.

Courtland M Chambers in Terre Haute on business. Rotary meets at Black and White Cafe. Jim Hetrick leads. J C Jarvis in Lafayette for district programs May 12-13. Dr Harry Isenhower spoke on new dental anesthetic and X-ray in dental surgery. Marriage license issued for Worthington man and Ada Arnold. Hubert Wright of Linton and Mabel Smith wed in Linton.
Murray bowling team defeated the Pole Cats at Linton Bowing Alleys, taking two of three games. Jack Mehlholt led winners with 620 series, while Daniel 561 and Davis 486 anchored the scoring for Murray. Pole Cats totaled 2752 as Larsen 552 and Myers 575 posted top marks for their side.
