Washington notes that local draft boards will begin drafting many of the 1,500,000 deferred men in the 30 to 33 age group. Deferments will be limited to those in essential industries. Officials say a large number of these deferred registrants will be affected and that over 30 percent of the total draft call by year end may come from men over 30. The 18 to 29 group faces induction unless employers prove indispensability in essential industries.

Funeral services were held at Myers Funeral Home Worthington for Minnie Cora Workman 72 who died Saturday in Indianapolis after a long illness. She lived much of her life in Greene County and is survived by son Don Workman postmaster of Worthington a daughter Mrs Charles Stewart of Indianapolis six grandchildren and one great grandchild. The Rev R J Servens officiated and she was laid to rest in Worthington Cemetery.
