House investigators summoned Coral Gables attorney Thurman A. Whiteside to testify on his role in securing a Miami television channel for National Airlines. He is accused of giving Commissioner Richard A. Mack 2650 dollars as a loan, which both say was largely repaid. Whiteside was to be questioned for two to three days. Mack may appear Thursday.

President Eisenhower returned to Washington from a 10 day Georgia trip with a 3000 mile detour for a round of golf in Arizona. He enjoyed 18 holes at Phoenix and dined with Mamie as he planned a quick return visit after his health trip. Eugene Pulliam quoted the president saying he has not felt better in six months and hoped to visit again for a long weekend.
Maj. Gen. John D. Medaris, head of the Army Ballistic Missile Agency, says the Army will use the Jupiter IRBM as the first stage to launch a 500-pound satellite into Earth orbit. A second Explorer satellite may follow, with site options being reviewed for a north south orbit while Cape Canaveral limits orbit direction.

The body was taken to McClanahan Funeral home in Jasonville with funeral arrangements to be announced later.
Frances Elizabeth Easter 71, of Indianapolis and a former Worthington resident, died Sunday morning after a seven year illness. Born near Worthington December 29, 1886 she was a Mt Vernon Baptist member. Survived by two daughters, a sister, two grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Body to Myers Funeral Home Worthington with viewing after 7 pm and burial in Worthington cemetery.
Brisbon Bris Roush 77 longtime Linton coal miner died Friday night after two years ill and 14 months hospital. Funeral at Evangelical United Brethren church with Rev J Clayton Stadler. Buried Fairview cemetery. Survived by widow Pearl Harstine Roush three daughters Ina Jamison Geneva Welch Rosalind Keller son Earl Roush, one brother and three sisters. Memorial chapel handled arrangements.
Argentina's first free election in 30 years shows Dr. Arturo Frondizi winning a landslide to lead with 17 416 votes against Dr. Ricardo Balbín's 483 236 for the Radical party. Peronist followers clashed with opponents as polls closed in Buenos Aires. About 1500 Frondizi supporters paraded with his pictures through the city after the vote.
