Alfred D. Haig, 65, president of Bloomfield State Bank, died at 8:15 a.m. at his West Spring Street home after years of ill health worsened by influenza. A Greene County native born July 26, 1871, he joined the bank 55 years ago and led it since 1924. He is survived by his widow Elma Pearl McGee and two daughters, Mary Ruth Hale and Barbara Haig. Funeral at 10 a.m. Friday at the Haig residence managed by Kidd Undertaking Co.
