Patriotic Huncheon meeting held at Bloomfield Legion

One of the most outstanding meetings in Greene County Republican history occurred at the American Legion home in Bloomfield. The event featured patriotic decorations, a luncheon with piano by Mrs. Carl Waggoner, and the after noon program presided by Mrs. Eva Holmes Switz City county chairwoman. Speakers included Russell Idvans Spencer county chair, Edgar Pershing Washington county chair, Walter Wills Greene county chair, and Raymond S. Springer Connersville who delivered the principal address. Out of town guests Harvey Cushman and Elmer Sherwood of Indianapolis and Mrs Springer of Connersville attended.

Glenburn Mothers Club Met Friday Afternoon

The Glenburn Mothers Club met at Mrs. Paul Prudhome’s home Friday afternoon with opening song Would Be Like Jesus. Mrs. Sallie Bone led in prayer. scripture read by Mrs. Elmer Davis. Miss Nola Yoder gave a lesson on People in Other Lands. Guests included Mrs. Bolt. Next meeting set for March 8 at the club house for a covered dish dinner.

Members of H. G. L. Club Entertained Last Night

Members of the H. G. L. Club were entertained Friday night by Mrs. Melvin Hatton at her mother Mrs. Pearl Ramsey’s West Linton home. After the business session two contests were held. prizes went to Mrs. Jac Kirby and Miss Mary Gilhun. Guests enjoyed mock chicken sandwiches pickles cherry pudding with whipped cream and coffee. The next meeting will be in two weeks.

Alpha Bible class meeting postponed in social room

The Alpha Bible class gathering in the social room of the M. E. church Tuesday evening has been postponed until next month because the high school music program will be held.

Mrs Claud Clark Better After Hospital Stay

Mrs Claud Clark, a resident of the city, is reported improving after a period in Union Hospital. The Kroger store manager said Clark was recovering in the Dix area on Wednesday.
