One of Baby's Two Heads Has Cold
In Petersburg Indiana a two month old two headed baby has a cold in one head while the other remains fine. The child born December 12 at a Washington Indiana hospital received a penicillin shot in the left hip for the cold. The sick head cried from the needle pain. the right head appeared undisturbed and the infant is thriving otherwise. Doctor J W Elbert says the case is unusual since a contagious illness typically affects both heads. He was surprised only the sick head responded to the injection.

Golf Opening Here Will Set Early Record
The Linton Municipal Golf course will hold its official 1954 opening on Saturday the earliest opening date in its history. A brownish gray animal weighing about forty pounds was killed near Stafford township five miles south of Linton and brought to Linton by Cul mer Frederick. Frederick fired a pistol Sunday near his home to kill the animal which resembles a wolf and may be a wolf coyote interbreed.

Family visit precedes army move to Japan
Mr. and Mrs. George Geatches with son Bob and Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Edmonson with children met Mrs. William H. Geatches and daughter Leslie in Indianapolis last weekend. Mrs. Geatches and Leslie flew from Baltimore to Seattle en route to Yokohama, Japan where they will live while Lt. William H. Geatches serves with the U.S. Army. They expect to live in Japan until 1956. Mrs. Geatches and Leslie have arrived in Seattle and sailed Monday for Yokohama. they plan to reach Yokohama by February 25.

Peter Schloot 88 Banker Civic Leader Dies at Home
Peter Schloot a longtime Linton banker and civic leader died at his home at 109 B Street Northeast after years of ill health. Founder of Peoples Trust bank in 1920 and its president since, he also started the Jasonville branch. He served as Indiana state representative for Greene County and was active in local fraternal groups. He is survived by wife Jennie Price, three daughters, one son, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral Friday at Saron Evangelical and Reformed Church with graveside services by the Linton Elks.
