Mrs Mary Teyssier 70 Dies At Home In Linton
Mrs Mary Teyssier aged 70 longtime resident west of Glenburn in northwest Linton died Friday at 1 18 PM at her home after a brief illness. Born in France September 18 1868 she was widow of Louis Teyssier. Survived by two children Edward at home and Mrs Lawrence Calzin of Linton three grandchildren and one great grandchild plus two brothers Victor and Albert Doux of France. Funeral at Glenburn Mission Monday 2 30 PM conducted by Deaconess Nola D Yoder. Burial in Fairview Cemetery.

Knights of Pythias to Broadcast Diamond Jubilee Program
A Knights of Pythias program celebrating the Diamond Jubilee will air 9 to 9 30 p m Monday February 20 on a coast to coast network announced by Linton K of P lodge members. Senator Tom Connolly of Texas past supreme representative will give the principal address. The order was formed in Washington February 19 1864 by Justice Henry Rathbone and now has more than 5000 subordinate lodges 49 grand lodges and one supreme lodge.

Mrs. Homer Sims 55 formerly of Worthington died Friday in an Evansville hospital after eight months of illness. Born June 7 1883 in Greene County she lived near Bloomfield and Smith Township. She was active in Worthington Fol som Memorial Methodist church and is survived by her husband two daughters a son two grandchildren and siblings. Funeral arrangements set for Worthington Methodist church with Rev A L Meredith officiating.

Loyalist Spanish officers fined and jailed for jewel theft
At Ceret court the French government fined seventy six Loyalist Spanish army officers a total of 18 000 000 francs and sentenced them to prison terms from one month to two years for illicitly bringing 1 000 pounds of jewels and gold into France while fleeing Francoist forces. Customs found undeclared valuables on the refugees with jewelers’ tags still attached. Attorneys said the defendants merely followed superior orders.
