George V. Norris age 71 and a retired newspaper motor route driver died at 3:00 this morning at 510 H street northeast after months of illness. Born February 14, 1887 in Sullivan County, he worked for Scripps-Howard in Erie before returning to Linton in 1937 to drive for the Linton Daily Citizen Indianapolis News and later for the Daily Citizen Indianapolis Times until retirement in 1957. He was a member of the Linton Jehovahs Witnesses and is survived by three cousins. He will lying in state at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel after 7:00 this evening. Funeral services will be held at Memory Chapel at 2:00 Wednesday with local Jehovahs Witnesses officiating and burial in Fairview Cemetery.
