Four suits totaling 75000 seek damages in Clay circuit court over an August 14 crash on state road 54 near Dugger that killed four people from Dugger and injured Bob McCullough. Man Arrested After Breakin In Linton Cafe
Tom Pittman a 30 year old resident of Linton is jailed in Greene county after an early Sunday morning break in at the Central Inn cafe. Police say he entered by breaking a glass panel and used a crowbar to reach the lock. He was found with about 15 dollars and packets of cigarettes and candy. Pittman recently relocated from Carbondale Illinois and worked as a shovel operator nearby.

Charles O Bredeweg 20 of Indianapolis and Susan Wells 16 of Indianapolis died after their car struck a New York Central train seven and a half miles northwest of Shelbyville. Twelve pages of a ship log from 1829 were found pasted to a house wall being demolished in Salem. The pages, believed part of the brig Olinda log, were turned over to the Tabody Museum.
