Water system at Shakamak Park progresses with 90 workers
A new water system for Shakamak Park, powered by FERA labor and CCC personnel, is about one third complete. The Jasonville to Shakamak line runs 10 072 feet and will supply visitors and park units with six inch pipes buried five feet deep. About 60 Greene and 30 Clay county workers have toiled four weeks, with an anticipated finish by April 15. Materials cost around 6000 dollars, with total wages roughly double that amount.
