Miss Katherine Lois Alwerdt, 23, of Linton, suffered a severe cut on her left jaw and neck requiring about forty stitches after a truck collision on A street northwest. Driver Ray Foster and passenger Bob Alderson, both 22, had minor injuries. Police said the hitchhiking victim rode with them when a sudden stop led to a leftward crash into a tree near Mrs. Lillian Friedman’s home.
