Memorial services were held at Saron Evangelical Reformed Church for Harold Kenneth Harting 23 who was reported killed during World War II while serving with the United States forces in January in Germany. He was a 1940 Linton Stockton High School and 1943 Indiana University graduate. He joined the Army Reserves in 1942 and was called to active duty in 1943. Pfc Arreatus J Barnett, 20, of Linton, was killed while serving with the U S Infantry in Belgium on January 20. Survivors include his parents Mr and Mrs Retus Barnett, three brothers and a sister. He attended Linton Stockton High School and worked at Burns City Ammunition Depot before enlistment. He trained at Camp Howe Texas and Camp Haan Cal and went overseas last July.
