New Bedford Trial Hearing Date Set

Four Get Burns In County Fire Two Are Critical
A Greene county fire at 7 30 this morning destroyed a six room frame home two and a half miles east of Bloomington. Disabled veteran Raymond Byers 52 and children Josephine 15 Joseph Dean 13 and Cathryn 21 months were burned Josephine and Joseph Dean were in critical condition with burns to arms legs chest and face while Cathryn had facial burns. The father bravely rescued two children while the mother and two younger siblings were uninjured. Fire investigators blamed kerosene poured on smoldering coals for the blast and rapid spread of flames. Neighbors aided but could not save the dwelling.

Hoosier Woman Sentenced for Embezzlement in Edinburg
Miss Marjorie A. Mutz former secretary of the Blue River Building and Loan Association at Edinburg received a one year prison term and 350 dollar fine for embezzlement related to a 13000 dollar shortage. Johnson circuit court found her guilty and Judge Oral C. Barnett imposed the penalty. Miss Mutz was taken to Indiana Women's Prison.

Michael J. Yatsko 45 of Terre Haute died Thursday morning at Union Hospital. Survived by widow Helen Roberts of Linton, three sons, a daughter, four sisters, two brothers, and an aunt. Funeral at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at P. J. Ryan and Sons Funeral Home with a 9:00 a.m. requiem Mass at Sacred Heart Church. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
