Agnes Sharps 76 Dies at Clinton Home
Mrs Agnes Howie Sharps 76 died Sunday afternoon at her daughter Mrs Seph Inmans home 689 A street northeast after an illness starting Saturday evening. Born December 18 1860 in Glasco Scotland she lived many years in Clinton and was active in church and local lodges. Surviving are three sons John Bill Ben and three daughters plus 13 grandchildren. Funeral arrangements in Clinton Presbyterian rites at Riverside Cemetery to follow. Her husband John A Sharps died in 1915.

Six injured in State Road 54 crash near town
A Sunday morning collision on State road 54 three miles northwest of town left six people injured, one seriously. Richard R. Davies, 60, of Dugger, sustained scalp lacerations and chest injuries but is expected to recover. The Willis family, Beulah Rose and Arthur Rose of Cass, and others suffered minor injuries. Ambulance crews rushed Davies to Mary Sherman hospital in Sullivan where he regained consciousness.
