Indiana biennial budget outlines $50 million two year plan

Indiana lawmakers introduced a two year appropriation totaling 50,329,996 for 1935 1936. The budget increases by about 5 million from the prior session with 27,448,161 for the general fund and a larger total once highway and independent funds are added. The plan shifts capital outlay control to the governor by lumping all institution allotments into one undifferentiated sum.

Kroger Managers Receive District Prizes in Terre Haute

Claud Clark and Robert Johnson of Kroger stores visited Terre Haute for a district meeting of store managers and clerks. Clark earned a $20 manager prize for the outstanding district record in the fourth quarter of 1934, while Johnson received a $10 clerk award.
