Our Yesterdays recounts Bobby Jones rise from a five year old with a club in Atlanta to a record of early triumphs. He wins the Southern Championship, national open in 1923, and the next year the national amateur, then collects major titles through 1930 before turning professional.
The Linton high school booster club, newly formed, reports 63 members with growth expected. Jere Goodman, a high school teacher, sponsors the group which aims to boost school spirit and sportsmanship. Members pay 1 and can attend remaining basketball games and school events without extra charges. A special gym section is reserved for booster attendees.

In Indiana cases Bloomfield court records show Denver Johnson pleading not guilty to child neglect after waiving arraignment. Mitchell seeks state witness endorsements in an embezzlement case while Reynolds and Hancock move to quash a third count. Heirs of Jennie Bennet seek estate distribution with $144.54 inheritance tax due. final reports and hearings set for Feb. 25. Troy and Geneva Campbell seek partition of real estate with appraisals and a proposed sale terms including staged payments. Other filings include quo warranto responses in cases involving Marshall Jones and Homer Dagley and a reply in Wim Slough v Brent.
A fragmented domestic note advises lifting the candlestick slightly above the lips when blowing out dinner candles. The aim is to prevent wick smothering and to ease relighting next time, reflecting basic cautions for table fire safety.
Indianapolis February 6. A bill prohibiting shot firing in coal mines while men are at work passed the Indiana House 67 to 27 and was sent to Governor Paul V. McNutt for signature. MARCO Roy Payne of Linton visited his father Harvey Payne on Sunday. Paul McKim spent a few days in Indianapolis with Sport Neal. Charles Frederick traveled to Paris Illinois for a visit. William Hunter recovered enough to be out after illness. Miss Mary McKitm from Linton visited last week. Dan Carmichael of Plummer appeared on business. Rube Stanton of Sandborn called on business. Mrs Kathleen Bird of Indianapolis stayed with her parents Mr and Mrs G O Wright. Walter Kinniman and Robert Spurgeon visited local contacts. Mrs Jane Wines improved from illness. Marvin Cross now up after influenza. Bud Britton from Linton came on business. Miss Faye Carmichael of Plummer visited Frank Cross. Mrs Emma Cross and Noah visited Ray Golliher of Plainville.
Mr and Mrs Ray Mitchell of West Linton hosted Sunday dinner guests including Mrs Mitchells father Charles Rish er formerly of Linton now of Burns Guy and her sister Mrs Fay Walton and family of Dugger The gathering highlighted family ties and local connections in the area.
Carpenters local union No. 487 calls a meeting at 7 pm in the K of P hall on West Vincennes street. All members urged to attend. Signed Frank Bailey president.
The history of Cecil John Rhodes is examined as a statesman financier and empire-builder. Born in 1854, he influenced Bechuanaland annexation and the region of Rhodesia, promoted British expansion, led the Cape Colony, and sought to overthrow the South African Republic. He faced illness and died in 1902.
The first aid class for Greene County FERA employees finished last night at the Purity Bakery building on North Main Street. Fifteen men completed the course under Instructor Leonard Davenport with Perl Headley assisting and N. L. Muir from the U S Bureau of Mines aiding enrollment.

William Malcom heads to St. Louis to run a restaurant with brother R W Malcom. Mrs Malcom and children Catherine and Billy plan to join in about three weeks.
