Greene county board closes year with Yount retirement note

In Bloomfield on December 28 1927 the Greene county board of commissioners finished the year with salary approvals and court work. Charles Yount will retire from the board effective January 1 1928. Rol Buskirk will replace him. Deeds and court actions include land transfers in Beech Creek and Tigshland townships and a $120.05 judgment for Rufus Edington vs Perry and Edna Bland. A Bloomfield high school annual banquet capped the day with a 28 to 1 alumni basketball win.

Christmas Visits and Illnesses Among Koleen Families

Koleen notes late December visitations and illnesses as residents travel to relatives in Indiana and Ohio. Flu cases rise with Ida Flynn among the sick. several families host guests and attend gatherings with numerous local kin visiting from Dugger, Fort Wayne, Linton, Bloomington, and Lafayette.
