Dull Wife Sentenced 14 to 15 Years for Manslaughter
Mrs Fern Patricia Dull the sole office wife who killed her employer and lover William Holdbrook was sentenced to fourteen to fifteen years in the Detroit House of Correction Judge Mark Taylor recommended the maximum term. She appeared unmoved as the sentence was read and a motion for a new trial was overruled. She will likely remain at Berrien County Jail a week before transfer to Detroit for commitment papers.

Margaret Jane Taylor dies in Sandborn at 79
Mrs. Margaret Jane Taylor 79 longtime Sandborn resident died Tuesday after a three month illness. She was born July 25 1859 near Sandborn to James and Emerine Beaver and lived her life in the Sandborn community. She was a member of the Sandborn Methodist church. Her marriages to William Peden and Ezra Taylor ended with their deaths. Survivors include three sons Arnold and Barney Peden and daughter Mrs Russel Squire, plus seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were conducted at the family residence by Rev A E Chastain with burial in Sandborn cemetery.
