The Junior high team won two straight nights by three points and faced Plainville 28 to 20 at Linton-Stockton gym. Wendell Wright led with five field goals and one free throw, Sloan added four field goals and two free throws, while Plainville’s Daugherty and Golhter shone for eight and ten points respectively. Referee Weller officiated.

Rob Ferry's Grocery Robbery: Thieves Strike Early Saturday
Early Saturday night thieves entered Rob Ferry's Grocery and General Store at A and Eighth streets northeast, stealing about 100 dollars worth of merchandise including work clothes, meats, and candies. Ferry, in the shop after 10 pm, says the entry was through the front door despite bright lights and passing cars. Police call it a bold theft. Ferry has owned the store about two weeks.
