Fire destroys May residence in Linton. family escapes
A 2:30 a.m. fire on Samuel Avenue, Linton, destroyed the five room Lewis May home and all belongings. Mr and Mrs May and four sons aged 10 to 17 escaped barefoot in night clothes. Lewis May treated for smoke inhalation at Greene County General Hospital. Darrell May cut hand breaking a window. The family is staying with Mrs Dellamae Arthur in Northwest while housing is arranged.
