Elizabeth Morris Tierney Robinson age 65 resident of the Linton community for years died at 6:10 p m in Freeman Greene county hospital after two and a half years of illness. Two Crewmen Die In Crash of B-50
A Boeing B-50 bomber crashed in the desert north of Tucson killing two of the 12 crewmen and seriously injuring two others. Deputy Bud Eaves said all men parachuted but one, whose body was found with the wreckage. Another crewman died after his parachute ripped open as witnesses saw a crash on a mountain slope and the explosion scattered wreckage over nearly a mile square.

Linton Council Lets Re-surfacing and Street Oil Contracts
The Linton City Council awarded two contracts this morning for North Main street re-surfacing from A to H streets and for applying street oil. Ralph Rogers and Company of Springville secured both deals totaling 7 198 and 2 000 dollars respectively with oil priced at 15 cents a gallon. Work on oil will begin Wednesday Aug 26 while re-surfacing should start once Rogers material plant returns to Bloomfield, within about three weeks. An approved additional appropriation of 14 000 dollars enabled the awards, covering earlier use of street funds for Twelfth street paving. Also corrected is a report on excavating at the municipal dump. John Hamm Construction Company won that contract for 1 500 dollars.

Jets Launch Long Nonstop Atlantic Flight To Europe And Africa
