County ag agent Calvin Griffith announces thirty five poultry culling demonstrations covering all sections. First session today at Ilene park and last on September 26 at H Coley’s farm Richland township. Schedule lists dates times and township locations with numerous local leaders and farms.
In a quirky probate tale, Arthur Bowen and Lucy Stokes confront a 20 year restraint on marriage written into Uncle Jabez’s will. A twist reveals Lucy’s prior love and a third party, Mr Stokes, as the executor of the fortune if they wed. The couple’s realization shifts to a plan for marriage and reversal of the bequest.
Martha Louise Doyle nine year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Ray Doyle died at home after long illness. She leaves parents, a brother Paul and a sister Mary. Funeral at Lebanon church Friday at 2:30 PM with interment in Lebanon cemetery.
The Children thank neighbors and friends for loyalty during illness and death. Grateful for floral offerings and for the Daughters of Rebekah singers and for courteous treatment from Russell and Welch.
