City Street Collapses into Hidden Cave in Knoxville

A limestone cave beneath a busy Knoxville street caved in causing an automobile to plunge in. A derrick hauled it out from a crater over 25 feet deep and 45 feet wide. The cave extended five feet wide and four feet high for miles under the city, likely triggered by a broken water main.
