Twenty Miles County Unit Law Repeats Signatures Required

Greene county petitions under the county unit road law to improve about twenty miles of highways at an estimated cost of 300000 must be re circulated and signed again. Engineer Donaldson says repetition is needed for all county unit projects not yet let. Re petition affects several township roads with varying mileage and requires 250 signers per township under the new law.

Wes Ball Trial Date Set in Greene Circuit Court

Bloomfield April 27 Wes Ball a Worthington resident now in Clinton faces trial in Greene circuit court on May 5 for alleged involvement in producing illicit liquor. Prosecutor Vosloh and deputies arrested Ball and others during a Sabbath night raid. Co defendants Prent Calvert and Ed Watkins are slated for May 4 and May 3 respectively.

Error in indictments in Linton corrected at federal building

An announcement in Indianapolis dated April 27 states that yesterday's reference to new indictments in Linton was in error. It explains another city was referred to and that no new cases are currently pending from Linton. A Masquerade is planned for tonight.
