Mrs Walter A Hart Dies At Home After Illness

Mrs Rebecca A Hart age 33 wife of Walter A Hart died at the family home north of the city at 2 o clock this morning after weeks of illness. She was daughter of the late James Haseman and had lived in the locality all her life. Survived by husband seven children George John and Clarence Haseman as brothers and Mrs Mary Gill as sister. Funeral Monday at 1 pm at residence with Rev A L Fledderjohann officiating burial in Fairview.

Local High School to Stage Big Six Contests and Pageant

Linton students prepare for the Big Six reading and oratorical contest at Martinsville on May 7 with two readers and a winner to be chosen from preliminary events. A school pageant under Miss Ada Davidson and Miss Vivian Humphreys will be staged at Haseman's grave around May 13 with an outdoor stage and costumes. Proceeds benefit the foreign relief fund and senior week events run May 28 to June 4 including commencement on May 25.

Woman Said to Be 117 Years Old Dies in Clinton

Clinton Ind April 16 Mrs Elizabeth Austin colored widow 117 years old died at home of her daughter Mrs Susan Glover North Seventh Street according to family records born in Kentucky in 1808. People who knew her doubted the exact age but thought the family report plausible.
