Carpenter Survives 16-Story Elevator Fall in New York
New York April 2. Peter Bildere, a carpenter, fell sixteen stories down an elevator shaft on a Broadway skyscraper. He slipped from scaffolding, grabbed an elevator cable, slid thirteen floors before burning hands forced him to let go, struck a plank and landed at the bottom conscious. He was taken to a hospital to assess injuries.

It will measure about forty by sixty feet and may serve as a modern church basement for socials suppers banquets and recreation for boys and girls.
