Schmitz Reunion Held at Sacred Heart Parish Hall
The 23rd annual Schmitz reunion gathered 86 members from Walker and nearby towns on June 10 1973 at Sacred Heart Parish Hall Walker. Officers elected for the next year were Gene Schoeberl President Kenneth Leaven Vice President Pauline Leaven Secretary and Treasurer. The next reunion is set for the second Sunday in June 1974. The writeup recalls local memories including Mrs Shaffer of Rowley and reflections on old Walker customs and a long-remembered Pickle Factory rumor from the thirties.
