Story of the grain and the three brothers and the dying uncle
A family tale set in springtime follows General Steimer and his three sons Adolphus Henry and Bernard as they hear of their uncle Bernard dying far away He leaves a single handful of grain to be split among the brothers to reward the one who uses it best Bernard proves to have sown the grain and reaped a harvest larger than wealth, and the old man decrees charity to the poor as the measure of true wealth.
