Three Men Bound Over In Ezra Mace Barn Arson

Southern Bell announces a new dial telephone exchange in Denver Lincoln County will begin operation on Saturday March 12. Subscribers in Denver can call Lincolnton Maiden and Newton by dialing codes and regional calls can be made both ways. Trucks Dump Lumber In Odd Highway Accident
Two lumber trucks crashed while hauling lumber to High Point in Lincoln County over the weekend. A 1955 International driven by Ernest Chambers of Marion lost brakes on a curve and spread lumber for about 399 feet. The following truck, driven by John Lynch and owned by Pierce Bradley of Marion, skidded 93 feet and overturned. Prisoners from the Lincoln County camp cleared the debris, a full day’s work.
