Bennie Moore and Harry Hamilton both 22 were sentenced in Wake Superior Court to seven to ten years for two robberies yielding about 28 dollars. Also reported 31 more operator licenses revoked for drunken driving, bringing total suspensions under the new law to 7,633 since November 1, 1935.

Mrs Margaret Louise Lander of Lincolnton died at her home at 1:30 this morning after a paralysis illness begun Thursday. Survived by five sons Frank Monroe Will Jack Bruce John and three daughters L B Wetmore Herbert Kuhn and J L Lineberger and two sisters J B Tabor and D A Hendricks and one brother R H Templeton. Funeral Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at home with Dr A L Stanford officiating. Turkey growers in Anson county sold 8,000 pounds of holiday birds to a large meat company for 1872.84, a price below expectations.
J T Kiser of Charlotte reports he was robbed of about 500 dollars by two highwaymen on highway 27 near Lincolnton. The Royster Fertilizer representative was fixing a flat tire when the criminals stopped to assist then attacked him and fled with cash and scattered papers. The suspects were described as two young white men, one in overalls and the other in leather boots and a lumber jacket.
