Elementary boys basketball games opened the Lime Theatre benefit event Saturday night. Crowds enjoyed a lively game where the Bonair Wildcats defeated the Lime Springs Dribblers 32 to 23. The program featured student players, cheerleaders, and bake sale proceeds topping $300 for the Lime Theatre. The Lime Springs and Chester Methodist Churches plan Lent services with a new audience-participation format, alternating locations. Russell Blomgren of Lime Springs was promoted to Specialist 4 in Korea and expected home in May. Tom Fretcher celebrated a February birthday, noted as a leap year occurrence.

Mrs Earl Walker received burns to her hand and arm last Thursday around 4 p m when a gas explosion near her kitchen range blew out two first floor windows in the dining room and bedroom.
