The Lime Sprigs Band held its first rehearsal Friday led by M. F Lysing, Cresco Band director, who will direct the summer band. Eighteen players attended with 25 hoped for, practice Friday at 7 00 and concert Saturday at 8 15. The concert will be at the little park between City Hall and Post Office with a platform planned. More folks urged to attend and bring donations of chickens.

Lavonne Jones Weds Spring Valley Dentist in Double Church Ceremony
Lavonne Jones daughter of Mr and Mrs Floyd Jones of Chester married Dr Elvin L Morse son of Mr and Mrs Morse of Le Reve in a double ceremony at the Methodist church in Chester. A Howard County 4-H Girls Club sent a 15 member delegation and leaders to the State 4-H Girls Convention in Ames from June 71 to 24 with its Intensive program.
