Saetersdal Lutheran Church Centennial Observance Planned

Saetersdal Lutheran Church marks its centennial with a three day event July 10 to 12. An historical pageant opens Friday evening with coffee social hour. Saturday features congregational fellowship and a confirmation reunion with former pastor Rev. F W Eide delivering the sermon. Sunday includes a 11:00 am festival worship led by Rev. Harold Larsen, dinner, and greetings from former pastors and missionaries. Centennial Choir performances accompany all services with Willis Johnson at piano and choir director. Safety Warnings For 4th to Be Project of U S American Legion

The Lime Springs American Legion and 44 posts statewide will hand safety warning cards to drivers entering and leaving Iowa during the July Fourth holiday. Legion members will operate noon to sunset on July 3 and 4 at Highway 9 and 63 intersections. The campaign aims to reduce holiday deaths with the Slow Down and Live cards, backed by the State Safety Department.
