Centennial Caravan Volunteers Needed

Adults sought to publicize the Centennial Celebration by traveling with the caravan and Centennial Band on Friday June 21. Contact Betty Barclay or Phyllis Stevenson with dates due by 6:00 pm Thursday. A Club Horse Show is set for Sunday afternoon June 3 at 1:00 pm. A Special Horse Show Meeting will be held Thursday June 20 at 3:00 pm in City Hall Lime Springs with door prizes announced.

200 Gents and Belles Enjoy Bar-B-Q At Brown Park

About 200 Brothers of the Brush and Centennial Belles enjoyed a barbecue dinner at Brown Park Tuesday evening. Beside the good food and plenty of it, old fashioned visiting was accomplished and the men pitched horseshots.

Lifesaving Classes Begin This Friday At Lime Springs Pool

Junior and senior lifesaving courses start Friday June 21 at 9 00 am with five Friday sessions from 6 00 to 12 00 noon. Red Cross swimming lessons enroll 129 children from Le Roy Minnesota and 110 from Lime Springs area for Tuesday Thursday and Monday Wednesday mornings respectively. Instruction staff led by Bull Mertens includes Jean Gassett Marshall Barclay Anita Price Pat Stevens Carol Amiller and Bonnie Hartung.

Third and Final Kangaroo Court Friday Night Show

The third and final Kangaroo Court will be held Friday night with Marley Cheney as magistrate. The Wardens and Cops team includes Dolores Foote Bun Morgan Mrs Alan Teamner Gene Carman Paul Lidtke and Berhard Roesler. Harmony Swing Band to provide entertainment aboard the stage setup on a truck.

Lime Springs Centennial Pageant Two Nights Due Crowds

The Lime Springs Centennial Pageant Once Upon A Time will be shown twice, Saturday and Sunday night June 29 and 30, due to expected overflowing crowds. Bleachers are extended on the east side for better visibility and capacity. Over a hundred people participate in the scenes.
