Pool opening delayed for resealing and repairs

The Lime Springs pool faced delays as drainage faults and a leak forced draining for repairs to plumbing and asphalt. Interior resurfacing and painting followed by a coat of highway track filler aim to prevent seepage, with hopes for a partial opening next week. Lifeguards and staff assignments are set, lessons registrations ongoing, and family season tickets offered.

Forest City Township Club Tours Minneapolis Trip

Thirty two women from Forest City Township Club traveled by bus to Minneapolis on June 3. They visited Dayton's Department Store then the Upholstering Store, toured Puritan Bakery learning bread making, and viewed Minnehaha Park. A bakery sample and a meal at Edgewood Cafe capped the day before returning home via Spring Valley.

Monday and Thursday gatherings featured visits by many area residents. Miriam Alinen and Mrs Liesd Aikkink traveled to Minneapolis with Ben Lrinsen. Miriam also attended a Kings Daughters event. A picnic occurred at Kernel Park in Cresco, with attendees from Searle and Waterow, and Mrs Katherine Mula plus the Walter Strip family joined north of Larmony. Marcia Ann Miller, a recent Pelult teacher, returned home with visiting parties. A cooperative dinner honored Mrs VY Miller’s birthday at Vernon Miller’s home with many local families present. The Rev. A J Man of the Reformed Church of Noington conducted services in Greenleatfton, Creelenafton vicinity.
