Senator C. A. Benson of Etkader Clayton County spent Tuesday renewing acquaintances in preparation for the Republican primary battle with Hon. G. N. Maugen for the U S Representative seat from the fourth district. Benson, forty two, operates a farm with his father and brother, fronts purebred Shorthorn cattle and Poland China hogs, and helped found the Clayton County Farm Bureau and Shorthorn Breeders Association.
Daniel Johns of this city earns a bachelor degree in education at Town State Teachers College commencement exercises. About 464 students received degrees and diplomas as events included a reception with Dr. O R Latham, a commencement dinner, and the graduation address by President A H Williams of Miami University Oxford Ohio who spoke on Gentlemen and Scholar.
